(H&M denim jacket, Nikicio top, Topman pants, Dr. Martens boots, Blackbook backpack)

When it comes to clothes, there's only one shade that will always be both versatile and timeless, not to mention loved by practically everyone. And, that color is, of course, black. It's all in the detail when it comes to this style strategy. Think of all the textures and materials that are available for your enjoyment and creativity...and welcome to the dark side.

If you've been following my blog, you must be know that I am very into monochromatic clothes. My wardrobe is mostly filled with either white, black or neutral clothing. They last for years and are in style for years. I may add some red at some point. It's impactful and just a piece or two would 'spice up' my neutral things and it has a way of giving me that festive feeling while still keeping it simple. So here's a selection of my favorite items from East Dane to start with.

East Dane is an online menswear retailer that carried a wide array of great brands and product categories. Launched in 2013, East Dane is the brother site to Shopbop.com. Right now they have a pretty substantial 50% off Mens sale section that you don't wanna miss and they've recently added a large selection of mens blazer to site as well.

Talking about festive season (which is already around the corner) is not complete without a gift. So I teamed up with Nak Online Branding to give away a $50 gift card to (4) four lucky guys or girls. To enter the giveaway, simply tell us what's your favorite item from Eastdane.com and share the link in the comments section below with your name and email address. Very easy, isn't it? Giveaway is open worldwide and will run until Friday, October 31. Good luck!

Giveaway is now closed. Congratulations to Fajar Ahmad, Syaddam Hidayat Chaniago, Kevin Christian La'lang and Nettie for winning a $50 gift card from Eastdane.com. I'll get into you as soon as possible. Thank you for everyone who participated, and stay tune for another great giveaway in the future! xx

Heritage

I love it when designers communicated traditional values through their wearable art. This black leather satchel with tenun applique from Manikan is one of the most prized pieces in my wardrobe. I think the abstract pattern of tenun gives my entire outfit the vibe of a modern painting and bohemian at the same time.
