After years in the fashion wilderness, the look-at-me logo is back. Designers started putting their brand names all over their clothes and accesories. And it looks like this trend will not go away soon, thanks to street style stars and rappers. The rise of social media also has to do with it, you know, people want to wear something recognisable. Here, I breakdown some of my favorite logo items..

Pyjama Party

(H&M shirt, Levis jeans, Zara sneakers or similar here)

The Morning After. One of those falling-out-of-bed-head-full-of-lead moments. Going to have a breakfast and realize that nothing left in the house to eat or drink. Well now you don't even have to get dressed to run to the grocery store! All you have to do is throw some shoes on with your PJs and maybe add a blazer or sweater and you're all set! Talk about convenience at its finest! The key to rocking a pajama look without getting strange stares in the street is to distinguish your outfit as being removed from the bedroom. If in doubt, avoid other aligning trends like smoking slippers and bed hair. Going for all these things together can create a very effective and thematic look, but it’s hard to pull this off outside the house. If you want to play it safer, contrasts are your friend. Instead, pair your pyjama pieces with exactly the kind of things you wouldn’t wear to bed.

The Parisian Uniform

Tuesday, April 07, 2015

It’s a seemingly endless quest to acquire the qualities that make French people so enviably cool and stylish. Luckily, the brands that embody the hallmarks of French style—Pieces that are just nicely tailored, cut beautifully, and effortlessly chic-are available to us in search of that je ne sais quois. My four favorite lines/designers right now are A.P.C, Ami, Iro and Melindagloss. Fans of minimalist designs flock to A.P.C. for streamlined separates and well-made basics. Iro has become synonymous with Parisian rocker-chic style known for it's edgy details, like cool leather jackets and shredded sweaters. While Ami and Melindagloss are more flirty and playful but with the same clean + chic tailoring. Shop my favorite picks from these iconic French brands to help you achieve the look!

The Key

Wednesday, March 25, 2015

Less is more, well that's what I keep trying to remind myself. Simplicity is the key of everything. Sometimes it's all about a white tee, a well fitted blazer and a perfect pair of skinny jeans and leather shoes..and you can never go wrong
